Summary: It’s that time of year again! For the second year in a row, I’ve created a fun audio edition of my weekly blog post. Enjoy!

'Twas the night before UX-mas, in my home office nook,
Post-it notes lay within each Rosenfeld book.
I sat late at night drafting study plans with care,
Ensuring each research question would lead us somewhere.
The year had been busy with projects galore,
From surveys to journeys, user behaviors, and more.
But tonight brought stillness, a chance to rewind,
Reviewing successes and lessons combined.
In the middle of thoughts, my mind took a turn,
To the power of data and what we had learned.
RStudio came calling with code snippets in a row,
Cleaning up datasets, allowing true insights to show.
Clustered users, churn rates, predictions to test,
Some GUIs worked smoothly; others caused unrest.
A MaxDiff helped to find what should take the lead,
And a tidy report met my stakeholders' needs.
But numbers weren't everything; that much was clear,
They only bring us so close to options users hold dear.
Through interviews and field studies, their true voices shine,
Then we'll add behavioral insights to align the design.
The PURE method proved how user flows excel,
Scoring error on error where usability fell.
With a focus on steps, users need to succeed,
It flagged user friction, causing frustration indeed.
Now, as the year ends, UX predictions arise,
Spewing uninformed guesses, for me, no surprise. (hehe)
AI will assist, but it won't take the reins;
Good research still requires human-like brains!
So here's to another year of user-centered dreams,
Of thoughtful designs and collaborative teams.
Let's keep learning, exploring, and just make things right.
Happy UX-mas to all, and to all a good night!
